Thankful Much?
Hey everybody. How’s everybody doing? Last week was the launch of the book, and today is the day after Thanksgiving, and I just had to get on and say thank you to everybody who has seen the vision, supported the vision, has bought the book, has recommended the book, all those good things. I’m going to be going through my timeline and just picking people at random, and I’m going to be sending you messages, trying to get you guys a shirt, just because I’m thankful. I’m thankful for every one of you that took the risk and thought that there might be value in whatever it is that I had to say.
We’re up at the lake right now, and Brenda’s making noise in the kitchen. We’re just up here getting … doing some final Thanksgiving stuff and getting ready for some Christmas stuff. I just wanted, on the whole note of Thanksgiving, I just had to say what I’d love to see if I’d love to see you guys post a picture, a video of a man in your life that you’re thankful for. After all, there’s the Man Up book, and it’s men who are challenging us, men who make us better than we should be, or as we’re growing into men, or as we become men, or as we are men.
I’d love to see either a picture, a video, or even just a post of a man in your life that you’re thankful for and why. What I’m going to do is I’m going to start it off. Let’s see, where’s it at? Okay. This man right here. Say hi, Dad.
Howdy.
For those of you who know, who have read the book, this is the guy that was in the book. He’s the man I am most thankful for in my life, and just because he’s given me direction. He’s given me patience at times. At times, it wasn’t much patience. And well heck, to be honest, I didn’t deserve much at times either, but anyway, these are the type of men … And here’s the thing, if you don’t have that type of man in your life that can speak into you, that can put you on the right path and on the right direction, on the right course, be the change.
Be the man that’s going to break that cycle. Be the man that’s going to be the example for others, that’s going to lend … You’re going to be the one to lend your power. You’re going to be the one to lend your strength to others. Anyway, I can’t wait to see the different posts, the different videos of the men in your life that make you who you are, and yeah, I just can’t say enough about that one right there.
He’s looking at me like, “What the heck are you doing?” Just so you guys know, he doesn’t even have a Facebook account, which that for me, I’m jealous of that. Absolutely 100% … of that fact, but that is the man, the myth, the legend that is Don. That’s the guy that really shaped my life and shaped me into who I am today, and I’m grateful for that. I hope you all have a great rest of the weekend, a great rest of your Thanksgiving.
Again, let me know. Give shout-outs to the men in your life that you’re thankful for. It could be … Here’s the thing, if it’s more than one, post more than one. I’d love to see all the men that you’re thankful for. Okay, I’m going to list a few just off the top of my head, just because I can. If I miss you, it’s not for a lack of being important in my life, but we’ve got Randy [Murra 00:04:03], I’ve got Dean [Foresley 00:04:05], and I’ve got Eric Birchfield.
I’ve got Tom Nichol, I’ve got Les Wright, I’ve got Andy Jenkins. I’ve got Caleb Wilkins, I’ve got Gary [DeHulky 00:04:13], I’ve got Brendan Mulholland. I’ve got Jim [Von Wald 00:04:17]. I’ve got Troy. I’ve got Aaron. Man, I’ve got so many men in my life that, speaking to me, challenge me and try to make me better than what I could be on my own, so all of you guys, thank you. Every other guy that’s in my life that is pushing me to be better than I can or that I am, I appreciate that. And I hope you all have a great rest of the weekend. See you later.
